GUYS... GUYS... GUYS! I've been meaning to create a post similar to this one for quite some time. I want to start getting into the fashion blogging side of things and let me tell you, this is the perfect way to get my feet in the water. But first, I want you to know that when I shop, the first place I usually go is the sale or clearance section which is crazy because when I was younger I used to be SO embarrassed when my mom would drag me over there, but now I know why she did... There are so many hidden gems in there! Don't get me wrong, it's always a hit or miss for me. I either come out with 10 items or 0, there's no in between.

I used to hate shopping online because I hated not being able to try it on and end up getting the wrong size or not knowing whether to size up or down. It was all just too much work for me. Now it's basically all I do, because I'm always on the go and don't really have the time to go in store and shop - plus I feel like I spend more money when I shop in store. Does anyone else do that? I feel like I have more self control when I see the total in my cart and I'm like uhmmm better not do that to myself and can quickly hit the remove from cart button.

I've recently started buying a lot of oversized clothing, just because it's cute, comfortable, and you can tuck it into the front of your jeans, roll up the sleeves a little and make it cute and your own! And y'all are in luck because ASOS is having a HUGE online sale right now! They have some super cute swim suits, tops, and even some cute little fall/winter pieces that are currently a steal for the price they are right now! I love me some basic, flowy, solid color tops because you can pair them with basically anything, so you'll probably see a lot of that (for future reference) in quite a few of my posts. I'm going to link a few of my favorites from their sale down below for y'all to check out! Happy shopping and happy weekend everyone!

Adley's First Birthday

Adam and I had the privilege of photographing miss Adley for her first birthday a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun and we got some awesome shots out of it! We decided to go to a local park in Clinton. We brought a few props (including balloons) and honestly, me being me, I didn't really think about the wind being an issue - well... the balloons DID NOT want to stay up (shocker, right?) So we ended up tying the balloons to a small lantern and just kind of waited for the wind to settle and that somewhat worked. THANK GOD. Anyway, Adley's family brought a few props as well and some ADORABLE outfits! They were all so cute, there was no way that I could pick a favorite. Plus, they brought SMASH CAKE. Smash cakes are so fun to photograph and it makes for some hilarious shots! Once we started shooting, it was so natural. She definitely has a chance of being a super model when she grows up! Adley was such a trooper and absolutely rocked her session! I can't get over all of the cuteness these photos bring and having such a sweet family to spend the evening with was the cherry on top.

Live Fearless

Fear. Wow, that sure is a small word to make a huge impact on so many people. Fear is described as "an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat" (thanks Wikipedia). Fear is definitely something I've struggled with my entire life. I was always so scared to try new things or to come out of my comfort zone even a little bit. My biggest fear is failure... and elevators of course. (Don't judge!) We all struggle with different things but I think we all can agree on the fact that something scares us - whether it be that we won't fit in, that we don't have what it takes to succeed, or even death. Fear is something that sits in my mind, it makes me anxious. It's a never ending whisper in the back of my head saying "you can't do this, you will fail". But you know what? Yes I struggle with fear, but the simplest answer in dealing with it is not to let fear control you. Eat the donut, climb that mountain, write that book. Don't let what people think sway your decision. This life is entirely yours. Don't not (double negative, sorry!) do something because someone said that you couldn't. That's no way to live. You're only given one life - live it fearlessly.
